Laura Pasquino is a ceramic artist, living and working in Amsterdam, Netherlands. After completing an apprenticeship in Japan, she opened her ceramics studio in 2019.
Laura Pasquino’s work as a ceramic artist is deeply rooted in her exploration of nature’s textures, forms, and rhythms. Fascinated by the organic, tactile qualities of clay, she uses her craft to transform the material into both delicate and bold structures, creating a dialogue between the earth and craftsmanship.
Drawing inspiration from landscapes, geological formations, and the subtle movements of water and wind, Pasquino captures the dynamic tension between fragility and strength in her ceramics. The imperfections, cracks, and variations that emerge in her work are embraced as part of the narrative, symbolizing the beauty of impermanence and change.
Pasquino’s artistic practice engages with ancient ceramic traditions while pushing the boundaries of contemporary form. Her process is experimental, allowing the material to guide her as she seeks harmony between structure and spontaneity. Through her sculptural pieces and functional vessels, she invites viewers to connect with nature and find moments of stillness and reflection in the subtle details of the clay.
At the core of Pasquino’s work is a belief in art’s ever-evolving nature. Her ceramics evoke a sense of wonder, encouraging others to appreciate the raw beauty of the natural world.
